Description

Please note the packshot is a mock - up based on the label's description, and the actual vinyl color may vary. This album has been out of print for over 30 years. It was recorded live in 1978 in a residential studio in Miami in front of a small private audience. This one - of - a - kind album features brand - new songs along with classic hits like 'Nickel Song', 'Ruby Tuesday', and 'Brand New Key'. 'Brand New Key' was performed in the style Melanie originally imagined. The highlight is arguably the amazing version of 'Cyclone' that smoothly transitions into the classic 'Candles in the Rain'. Melanie said defiantly, 'I made this album for myself, not for the music industry. This is who I am and what I do. If you don't like it, too bad.' The album sounds incredibly organic, with a singer - songwriter and a top - notch band doing what they do best. It's an overlooked classic in Melanie's catalogue. Side A: 1/Running After Love, 2/Holdin' Out, 3/Cyclone / Candles In The Rain, 4/Beautiful Sadness. Side B: 1/Do You Believe, 2/Nickel Song, 3/Any Guy, 4/Look What They Did To My Song, 5/I Believe. Side C: 1/Poet, 2/Save Me, 3/Together Alone, 4/Ruby Tuesday. Side D: 1/Buckle Down, 2/Miranda, 3/Brand New Key, 4/Groundhog Day, 5/Friends & Company.

To use this Ballroom Streets vinyl record set, first, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the vinyl on the turntable and use the tonearm to drop the needle at the start of the track you want to play. When you're done, lift the tonearm carefully and return it to its rest. Be cautious when handling the vinyl. Always hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches on the playing surface. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. Keep the album cover and the exclusive art print in a protective sleeve to maintain their quality over time. If you notice any dust on the vinyl, use a record brush to gently clean it before playing.
