This album takes you on a musical journey through a city night, starting from the endless possibilities at the start of a new evening to the final hours of dawn as the night ends. Written in 2023 when Ezra Collective toured the world and became the first jazz act to win the Mercury Prize, it documents the many dance floors they visited, from London to Chicago, Lagos to Sydney. Dance and rhythm truly connect us, and these songs are a proof of that spirit. Recorded at Abbey Road studios, the band was surprised by friends and family, turning the sessions into a live communal celebration of love, music, and dancing.
