Madonna's revolutionary fifth studio album, Erotica, hits its 30th anniversary on October 20, 2022. Back in 1992, it topped charts globally and sold over six million copies. Originally set for a 1992 fall release, the picture disc has a colorized 'toe sucking' photo from Madonna’s Sex book, released the same week as Erotica. But it was abruptly cancelled before release as the image was too explicit for in - store display then. Most copies were destroyed, with only a few reaching the public, adding to its allure.
