In 2018, 'Silent Night' was recorded for the holiday short film 'The Letter' by Eric Paschal Johnson and won a Vimeo Staff Pick Award. Now, it's available on vinyl for the first time. Van Etten's cover of the classic 'Blue Christmas', originally recorded in 2009 for the benefit album 'Do You EAR what I Ear' by the Association to Benefit Children, is also included. This association aims to end the cycles of abuse, neglect, sickness, and homelessness among disadvantaged children and their families in New York.
