1001: Vinyl LP

On 1001, Dustin O‘Halloran, known for his work in Marie Antoinette, Lion, and Transparent, explores the ideas of technology and humanity as we enter the age of artificial intelligence - a major transformation in human history. He poses thought - provoking questions like what will set humanity apart from technology in the future, how it will impact concepts of ‘love’ and the ‘soul’, whether language will remain our primary communication tool, and what role consciousness will play in a rapidly evolving world. 1001 originated from a ballet that premiered in 2019 in collaboration with dancer Fukiko Takase and was further developed into this album during the pandemic.
