Description

Released in April 1966 by Decca Records in the UK and in June 1966 by London Records in the US, Aftermath was the Rolling Stones’ fourth British studio album. Recorded at the RCA Studios in California, it was their first album released in true stereo. This album is a milestone as it's one of the first 'popular' albums to go over the 50 - minute mark, featuring the early rock epic 'Goin’ Home' that exceeds 10 minutes. The release was briefly delayed due to controversy over the original packaging and title 'Could You Walk on the Water' for fear of offending US Christians. It's an artistic breakthrough for the band, with all songs composed by Jagger–Richards. Brian Jones showcases his musical versatility by playing instruments like sitar, dulcimer, and Japanese koto, in addition to the usual guitar, harmonica, and keyboards. The album combines Chicago electric blues with emerging influences of psychedelia and Bob Dylan. Classics include the hit 'Paint It Black' on the US version, the jazzy 'Under My Thumb', the Elizabethan - style 'Lady Jane', 'Mother’s Little Helper' with drug - related lyrics, and the underrated 'I Am Waiting'. The American edition has a shorter track list, replacing four British - version songs with 'Paint It Black'. Tracks: Side A: Mother’s Little Helper, Stupid Girl, Lady Jane, Under My Thumb, Doncha Bother Me, Goin’ Home. Side B: Flight 505, High And Dry, Out Of Time, It’s Not Easy, I Am Waiting, Take It Or Leave It, Think, What To Do.

Using this vinyl LP is simple. Just place it on your record player, gently drop the needle on the starting groove, and enjoy the music. Make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. When handling the vinyl, always hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. If the vinyl gets dirty, use a soft, anti - static brush to clean it. This will help maintain the sound quality and extend the life of your album.
