Description

Released in April 1966 by Decca Records in the UK and June 1966 by London Records in the US, Aftermath is the Rolling Stones’ fourth British studio album. Recorded at RCA Studios in California, it was their first album in true stereo. This album is a milestone as it's one of the first popular albums to go over 50 minutes and includes the early 10 - plus - minute rock song 'Goin’ Home'. The album's release faced a short delay due to the original packaging and title idea 'Could You Walk on the Water' which London Records feared would offend US Christians. It's an artistic breakthrough for the band, with all songs composed by Jagger–Richards. Brian Jones' excellent guitar work and Jagger–Richards' witty song - writing shine through. Jones played diverse instruments like sitar, dulcimer, and Japanese koto, while the music is rooted in Chicago electric blues. Psychedelic, Bob Dylan, and global tensions are reflected in hits like 'Paint It Black'. Other classic tracks are the jazzy 'Under My Thumb', the Elizabethan 'Lady Jane', the drug - referencing 'Mother’s Little Helper', and the underrated 'I Am Waiting'. The US edition has a shorter tracklist, replacing four British - version songs with 'Paint It Black' to suit the US market preference for shorter LPs. Tracks: Side A 1. Paint It, Black 2. Stupid Girl 3. Lady Jane 4. Under My Thumb 5. Doncha Bother Me 6. Think Side B 1. Flight 505 2. High and Dry 3. It’s Not Easy 4. I Am Waiting 5. Goin’ Home

Using this vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on a properly functioning turntable. Make sure the turntable's stylus is clean and in good condition before playing. When you're done, always handle the vinyl by its edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. This will help preserve the sound quality and the physical condition of the record. Don't stack too many records on top of it as this can cause warping. If the record gets dirty, use a proper record - cleaning brush to gently remove dust and debris. Enjoy this classic Rolling Stones album and relive the music of the 1960s.
