METZ, the beloved 3 - piece punk band from Toronto, Canada, has been rocking global stages for over a decade. Comprising Alex Edkins, Hayden Menzies, and Chris Slorach, they've become one of the world's most thrilling live acts and a go - to for bombastic outsider rock. Their recorded work includes 3 critically - acclaimed LPs with Sub Pop and many limited releases. Automat is a collection of non - album singles, B - sides, and rarities from 2009. It's available on LP for the first time and has the band's early, out - of - print recordings. It features their first three 7” singles, a demo of 'Wet Blanket', tracks from limited bonus singles, and more. Vinyl buyers of Automat get a bonus single with three extra tracks: a cover of Sparklehorse’s 'Pig', 'I’m a Bug' from The Urinals, and METZ’s take on Gary Numan’s 'M.E.' All tracks are lovingly remastered by Matthew Barnhart. METZ is currently working on their 4th LP for Sub Pop.
