Released in 1996, it's a flagship album that won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance in 1997. Both musicians are from Missouri. The bassist and guitarist engage in a musical dialogue with original compositions and themes by well - known artists like Jimmy Webb, Henry Mancini, Johnny Mandel, Roy Acuff, Ennio and Andrea Morricone, and Haden’s son Josh.
