Description

Black Country Communion is a rock supergroup featuring Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Trapeze) on vocals and bass, Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, Foreigner) on drums, Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Billy Idol, Alice Cooper) on keyboards, and blues - rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa. Their debut album 'Black Country Communion' was first released in Europe in 2010 by Mascot Records. Three of their albums will be re - issued in the Glow - in - the - Dark Vinyl Series. 'Black Country Communion' and '2' on September 24, and 'BCCIV' on October 22, 2021. On the 'Black Country Communion' album, most songs are sung by Glenn Hughes, except 'Song Of Yesterday' and 'The Revolution In Me' by Joe Bonamassa. They share lead vocals on 'Sista Jane' and 'Too Late For The Sun'. The album also includes a new version of the classic 'Medusa' that Hughes first recorded with Trapeze. The band was formed after Kevin Shirley saw Hughes and Bonamassa's explosive performance in Los Angeles in 2009, and then recruited Bonham and Sherinian. The band takes its name from the industrial area in the British Midlands where Hughes and Bonham grew up.
