Adrianne Lenker, a well - known artist, announces her new solo album, Bright Future, which will be released on 22 March on 4AD. This is her first album since 2020’s songs & instrumentals. Co - produced by Philip Weinrobe, it also features contributions from Nick Hakim, Mat Davidson, and Josefin Runsteen. The previously released single ‘Ruined’ is followed by ‘Sadness As A Gift’, a track that combines timelessness with a fresh and surprising feel on each listen. What started as a collaborative experiment became a testament to her returned passion. In autumn 2022, with the help of three musical friends at the Double Infinity studio, a magical result emerged. The co - producer Philip Weinrobe prepared the studio to capture the sessions with technical honesty. Mat Davidson, Nick Hakim, and Josefin Runsteen brought their unique talents to the album, creating a chorus with vocal harmonies. The woodland studio environment added to the recording's charm, resulting in an album that combines thoughtful engineering with the spontaneity of a field recording.
