Canaan Amber's debut solo EP CA was recorded in the decade after Duster's hiatus. It shows the California - born guitarist's love for San Francisco jangle and Santa Cruz surf music. The music moves slowly, like a banana slug. Canaan weaves the loneliest one - string guitar solos around hollow rhythms and ghostly mumbles. The original 2012 five - song CD has been expanded with six more demos from the songwriter's vault.
