Blue Note Records will release Celebration, Volume 1 on August 23. It's the first in an archival series curated by the legendary saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter before his 2023 passing. This 2014 live recording features Shorter's acclaimed quartet with pianist Danilo Perez, bassist John Patitucci, and drummer Brian Blade at the Stockholm Jazz Festival. The exciting set includes favorites like “Zero Gravity,” “Smilin’ Through,” and more. The album's single “Edge of the World (End Title)” is a theme from the 1983 film WarGames. Side A has tracks like “Zero Gravity to the 15th Dimension” and “Smilin’ Through”. Side B offers multiple “Zero Gravity” variations, “Orbits,” and “Edge of The World (End Title)”. Side C includes “Zero Gravity to the 90th Dimension” and “Lotus”. Side D features “She Moves Through The Fair”.
