With the help of producer Bill Ryder - Jones, Michael Head leads his Red Elastic Band into a new chapter. The album showcases some of the best music of his career. This Liverpool singer - songwriter, respected by songwriting peers and discovered by new listeners, enters a creative new age with 'Dear Scott'. The 12 - track album shines with Ryder - Jones' artistry and the band's musicianship. Head found the band had 'stepped up' after almost a year apart, which pushed him to dig deeper. Head recalls that in 2021, after a break, a beach walk with the band was beautiful. Rehearsals went smoothly, and working with Bill Ryder - Jones was a natural process. 'Dear Scott' is named after novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald. A postcard Fitzgerald sent to himself at The Garden Of Allah Hotel inspired Head. The Red Elastic Band, formed in 2008 with whoever was available at the time, has now become a cohesive group with Phil Murphy on drums, Tom Powell on bass, Danny Murphy on guitars, and Nathaniel Cummins on guitars and backing vocals.
