Recorded on tape in Somerset and Wales last summer, this album is a milestone as it's the first time Billie both wrote and co - produced (with Dom Monks) one of her records. After the well - received Flora Fauna in 2021, Feeding Seahorses by Hand (2019), and Writing of Blues and Yellows (2016), Drop Cherries is highly anticipated. Flora Fauna got rave reviews from top media like CLASH (9/10), The Line Of Best Fit, and many others. It also made it onto multiple radio playlists at national broadcasters. The album title comes from a story Billie heard before songwriting, and the title track is a metaphor of offering love, capturing the essence of relationships.
