Description
Lindstrøm is back with his sixth studio album, Everyone Else is a Stranger, the first since 2019’s On a Clear Day I Can See You Forever. Inspired by John Cassavetes’ original title for his 1984 film Love Streams, this album features four of Lindstrøm’s signature chord - stacking disco epics and freeform cosmic voyages, lasting nearly 40 minutes. It sums up his career, blending his diverse musical paths into one cohesive sound. Unlike his previous slower and mellow album, the 2023 Everyone Else is a Stranger takes a more rhythm - oriented and uptempo approach, with tracks that fit perfectly into his acclaimed live sets. As always, it has the unexpected twists that are the trademark of this Norwegian producer, including his first recordings playing a cheap Chinese cello and violin alongside the old Solina String - Ensemble he's used since his debut. Named «the king of space disco» by The New Yorker, Lindstrøm is known for his obsessive work ethic, churning out amazing tracks in his city - center studio. He's collaborated with top names like Todd Terje, Prins Thomas, and Todd Rundgren, and has remixed numerous well - known acts such as LCD Soundsystem, Lana del Rey, and more.
To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the vinyl on the turntable, center it, and drop the needle carefully on the starting groove. Listen in a quiet environment to fully appreciate the rich sounds. When handling the vinyl, always hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. After use, return it to its sleeve to protect it from dust. Store the vinyl upright in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. If the vinyl gets dirty, use a proper record cleaning solution and a soft brush to clean it gently. Don't expose the vinyl to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, as this can damage the sound quality and the physical condition of the record.
