Exploding Trees & Airplane Screams: Vinyl LP

Patterson Hood's first solo album in over ten years was sparked by a friendship with producer Chris Funk of The Decemberists. They often played together for fun during Hood's solo tours and planned to make a record. Eventually, they recorded at Jackpot Studios in Portland. Many songs are piano - composed, a bigger departure from his Drive - By Truckers work than previous solo efforts. Guest stars include Waxahatchee, Wednesday, and Lydia Loveless. Tracklist: 1.
