Description

Faithfull Forever… is a 1966 studio album by Marianne, originally only released in the US. This Record Store Day (RSD) pressing is its first release in the UK, and it hasn't been re - issued on vinyl in the US. In 2024, Marianne celebrates her 60th anniversary in music, making this album a must - have for fans of her Decca catalogue. It's a defining moment of baroque pop, featuring some of Marianne's best 60s performances. The album includes interpretations of songs from well - known songwriters, like Jackie De Shannon's 'With You In Mind', Donovan's 'In The Night Time' (aka 'Hampstead Incident'), Bob Lind's 'Counting' arranged by Jack Nitzsche, and Eric Woolfson's 'Tomorrow’s Calling'. There are also some unexpected song choices, such as a pop arrangement of Ewan MacColl’s 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face', a French - language reading of the Love theme from 'The Umbrellas of Cherbourg', and a jazz foray with 'Some Other Spring'. Seven of the 12 tracks are appearing on vinyl for the first time since the original release, and three tracks have never been released in the UK and are still unavailable elsewhere. All tracks are remastered from the original tapes by Andrew Batt. This special RSD release comes with detailed sleeve notes featuring exclusive commentary by Marianne herself and new artwork based on the original sleeve shot by the master French photographer Jean - Marie Perier.

To enjoy this vinyl record, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the start of the record. Sit back and enjoy the music. When handling the record, always hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface, as this can affect the sound quality. After each use, carefully return the record to its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store the record upright in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. If you notice any dirt on the record, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently remove it.
