After four years of creation, Fat White Family is back with their fourth album, 'Forgiveness Is Yours'. It's an eclectic and chaotic yet coherent album that holds nothing back. Beginning with 'The Archivist', influenced by T S Eliot, the album progresses from the unique 'John Lennon' to the growling synths of 'Polygamy is Only for the Chief'. It features spoken - word like the harrowing 'Today You Become A Man' and has shades of Robert Palmer in the insistent 80's pop of 'Work'. The lyrics are full of literary influences, including T S Eliot, poet Zaffar Kunial, and transgressive philosopher Georges Bataille. Brothers Lias and Nathan Saoudi are the core songwriters, working with an ever - changing lineup of players and collaborators such as Alex White, Adam Harmer, Jessica Winter, and Clive Langer. Visually, taking cues from the Fluxus movement and Yoko Ono's work, the album art is a minimalist piece using embossed and pale grey imagery/text from Anna McDowell. The campaign will start in December with the torch ballad 'Religion For One' as a single.
