This single graces the end credits of Alan McGee’s new movie ‘Creation Stories’, written by Irvine Welsh and executive - produced by Danny Boyle. Hand - picked as the only current track for the music mogul’s biopic, it's a dystopian, free - associative 'Choose life' sermon set against the tension of a John Carpenter murder - chase.
Released on their own label, Go Wow Records, Godspeed unfolds 'all on the same night, just as the sun’s going down'. The album paints a fragmented picture of a single evening, like 'American Graffiti'. Each song is unique, allowing James Allan to freely experiment in this masterpiece.
James Allan's refusal to be restricted by conventions makes Glasvegas hard to categorize. Tracks like Shake The Cage (für Theo), Keep Me A Space, and My Body Is A Glasshouse (A Thousand Stones Ago) are prime examples.
