Description

Goo is the sixth studio album by the American alternative rock band Sonic Youth. Released on June 26, 1990, it marked the band's debut on a major label after signing with Geffen Records. Recorded in early 1990 at Sorcerer Sound Recording Studios and Greene St, with Daydream Nation producer Nick Sansano and additional producer Ron Saint Germain. The album's sound differs from their earlier work, blending experimental rock, garage punk, alternative rock, and hard rock, often hailed as 'their most accessible album'. The lead single 'Kool Thing' charted in the US, UK, and Ireland. Commercially, it reached No. 96 on the Billboard 200 in the US and charted in the Netherlands, New Zealand, and the UK. It received positive critical reviews. In 1990, Sonic Youth toured Europe and North America twice to support its release. Side A features tracks like 'Dirty Boots' and 'Kool Thing', while Side B includes 'My Friend Goo' and 'Titanium Exposé'.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, you'll need a record player. Just place the vinyl gently on the turntable, set the tonearm on the starting groove, and let the music play. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting fingerprints on it, as this can affect the sound quality. After each use, put the vinyl back in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, standing upright in a record rack. This will help keep the vinyl in good condition for many listens to come.
