Description

Formed in Great Yarmouth in 1990, Catherine Wheel, featuring singer - guitarist Rob Dickinson, guitarist Brian Futter, bassist Dave Hawes, and drummer Neil Sims, might be one of the greatest overlooked bands of that decade. Defying trends, they were loosely labeled as'shoegaze' and didn't fit into the grunge or britpop scenes. Radiohead, an upcoming band at the time, was compared to them by Melody Maker. In 1995, 'Happy Days' saw the group blend heavy metal with improvisation. With Mark Feltham on harmonica, they crafted a captivating sound on ambient tracks, paving the way for later bands like Mogwai. Tracks like 'Shocking' and 'Judy Staring Up At The Sun' still offer anthemic shoegaze. This re - issue replicates the 1994 Fontana UK 2LP release. It comes with a gatefold sleeve, a bonus track 'Glitter', and is pressed on high - quality 180g black vinyl. Tracks include 'God Inside My Head', 'Waydown', 'Little Muscle', and more.

Using this vinyl album is easy. Just place it on a turntable, gently drop the needle on the start of the track you want to play, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt or oils on the record, which can affect the sound quality. After each use, carefully put the vinyl back in its sleeve to protect it from scratches. Store the album in a cool, dry place, standing upright to prevent warping. If the vinyl gets dirty, you can use a vinyl cleaning brush to gently remove dust. Don't use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials on the record.
