After March's CD Wallet, HOMESHAKE drops his second 2024 album, Horsie. Recorded at his Toronto home studio, it delves into Sagar's complex emotions about returning to live shows. It deepens his exploration of loneliness and anxiety in the touring context. Horsie features diverse textures inspired by Four Tet and My Bloody Valentine, rhythmic styles of D'Angelo and Sade, and ambient Americana elements from Ry Cooder. Key gear includes an Ensoniq EPS and Roland Juno 60, along with lots of electric guitar and his beloved SP - 404. Sagar follows a 'less is more' philosophy. HOMESHAKE, Peter Sagar's musical project, shows his adjustment and adaptation in the world and his unique sound. It's hallucinatory and heart - wrenching in its longing for connection.
