Over nearly a decade and across three studio albums, Wirral - born Louisa Roach has transformed She Drew The Gun into a truly explosive project. Her 2016 debut 'Memories of Another Future' was quickly followed by winning Glastonbury Festival’s Emerging Talent Competition. The follow - up 'Revolution of Mind' was named one of BBC 6 Music’s Albums of the Year, and in 2021, 'Behave Myself' got praise from Clash for its refined songwriting. Roach has a knack for rousing, sharp social commentary, a trait that stays with her. But sometimes, self - reflection is necessary, and that's the inspiration behind the fourth album 'Howl', released via Submarine Cat Records. Recorded with producer Ash Workman (known for Christine & The Queens, Metronomy) at his Margate studio, he helped bring out the pop side of the tracks. Louisa also worked on 'Howl''s demos with her son Cole, starting a family working relationship they'll continue. Roach doesn't claim to be fully 'healed', but as she releases this impressively vulnerable fourth album, it shows how far she's come. Tracklist: A1. Howl; A2. Mirrors; A3. Became; A4. Shine On; A5. Rise; B1. Washed In Blue; B2. Nothing Lasts; B3. What’s The Matter; B4. Conjuring; B5. Ritual; B6. Out.
