I Am Easy To Find: Heavyweight Vinyl 2LP

The National's eighth studio album, I Am Easy To Find, hits the shelves on May 17th via 4AD. It follows their 2017 GRAMMY® - winning Sleep Well Beast. A short film of the same name, with music by The National and inspired by the album, will also be released. Directed by Academy Award - nominated Mike Mills and starring Academy Award Winner Alicia Vikander, Mills co - produced the album with the band. Recorded in various locations like Long Pond in the Hudson Valley, NY, and others around the world. The album features vocals from Sharon Van Etten, Brooklyn Youth Chorus, Lisa Hannigan and more. The 24 - minute film by Mills and the 68 - minute album are like 'playfully hostile siblings'. The music and the film share elements but stand independently. The album showcases a unique approach with female voices taking the lead, redefining the band's sound while staying true to their style. As the opening track unfolds, it starts typically National, then surprises with the powerful vocals of Gail Ann Dorsey and others. Berninger says it's about a fabric of people's identities, not just having more women's voices.
