This is a black vinyl LP with an etched B - side. After two eventful years promoting his album King Of Clubs during a global pandemic, alt - rock legend Jamie Lenman presents his most intimate, ambitious, and accessible work to date. Recorded at The Chapel studios in Chichester this January and February with producer Mark Roberts, The Atheist features eleven guitar - driven indie - pop tracks. Each track is full of catchy hooks. Lenman explores themes from toxic friendships to socio - economics and religious topics, moving away from the aggression of his previous records to a more melodious style. Lenman says some of these songs have been around for years, waiting for the right album. Their catchiness is evident, as proven when he played unheard tracks at this year's Download festival, with the crowd spontaneously singing along. Paired with amazing artwork by renowned illustrator Michael Parkin, Lenman will reveal his softer side this year, along with live shows and the third Lenmania mini - festival.
