The eighth album 'Lifesblood For The Oppressed' from the legendary American Sludge Metal band Crowbar is now available on vinyl. After the 2001 LP 'Sonic Excess in It's Purest Form', Crowbar faced challenges. Leader Kirk Windstein was involved with Down, the band's membership changed, and label issues were a constant headache. But in summer 2003, Windstein started to revive the band. He brought back original drummer Craig Nunemacher, and Pantera vet Rex Brown handled bass and production. Down II producer Warren Riker also joined. The result is 'Lifesblood For The Oppressed', a powerful tribute to the Art of the Riff with new ways of creating mayhem. Windstein's vocals are a constant growl of a vengeful soul. His guitar work finds tense melodies in the main riffs, and Nunemacher and Brown keep a great rhythm without losing dynamics. To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the first track.
