The Zawose Queens, Leah and Pendo Zawose from the Tanzanian Wagogo people, offer a unique musical experience. Their joyous, otherworldly vocals and polyphonic rhythms on drums, thumb pianos, and chizeze fiddle mimic nature's sounds. As the granddaughter and daughter of the late, great Hukwe Zawose, they, like other Zawose women, were once kept from the spotlight. With the help of producers Oli Barton - Wood and Tom Excell, this debut vinyl features eleven original songs that skillfully blend acoustic, electronic, traditional, and modern elements. To use this vinyl LP, first make sure your record player is in good working condition. Gently place the vinyl on the turntable and set the tonearm on the start of the record. You can then enjoy the beautiful music. When handling the vinyl, hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface. After each use, return the vinyl to its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store it in a cool, dry place, standing upright to prevent warping.
