After meeting Dimas Garza, his career took off, and he sang with stars like Eugene Pitt and Archie Bell, catching Timmion Records' attention. Backed by Cold Diamond & Mink, two hit singles were made, leading to this album of 11 original Benavidez - penned songs. From the lively title track to the doo - wop 'Dedicated to You', the Latin - flavored 'Uncle Sam', and the sweet soul 'Somebody Cares', this album shows Johnny's amazing versatility and the diverse soul sounds that inspired him.
