Description

Originally launched on June 18, 1996, by DGC, Odelay was Beck's game - changing follow - up to his platinum debut, Mellow Gold. Selling over two million copies in the US, this double - platinum certified album features timeless classics like “Where It’s At,” “Devils Haircut,” and “The New Pollution” that still shine in Beck's live shows today. In 1997, Odelay won two GRAMMY® Awards: Best Alternative Music Album and Best Male Rock Vocal Performance for “Where It’s At.” It was also Beck's first album nominated for Album of the Year, an honor his recent album Morning Phase won last year. Produced by Beck with the Dust Brothers, Mario Caldato Jr., Brian Paulson, Tom Rothrock, and Rob Schnapf, Odelay showcases and broadens Beck's diverse musical style. Upon release, it was widely praised, named Album of the Year in Rolling Stone, the Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics’ poll, and the UK New Musical Express’ critics’ poll, marking Beck's platinum breakthrough in England. In 1998, Q magazine readers voted it one of the greatest albums ever, and Rolling Stone ranked it in the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” in 2003 and #9 on the “100 Best Albums of the ‘90s.” Tracklist: SIDE A: 1. Using your Odelay Vinyl LP is super easy. Just place it on your record player, gently drop the needle on the start of the track you want to play, and enjoy the amazing music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt or oils on the record, which could affect the sound quality. After each use, carefully put the vinyl back in its sleeve to protect it from scratches. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. If the vinyl gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently remove dust. Don't use any harsh chemicals as they might damage the vinyl.
