Description

Originally released in 1958 by Peacock Records after her time with Lionel Hampton’s band, 'Out There' is an early highlight in Betty Carter’s extensive career. Backed by top - notch musicians like Benny Golson on tenor saxophone, Wynton Kelly on piano, and Kenny Dorham on trumpet, Carter smoothly performs classic standards such as 'Something Wonderful' and her self - written track 'I Can’t Help It', which became a regular in her performances. This Verve By Request title is pressed on 180 - gram vinyl at Third Man in Detroit. Side A features tracks like 'You're Driving Me Crazy' and 'I Can't Help It', while Side B includes 'On The Isle Of May' and 'But Beautiful'.

To enjoy this vinyl album, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the starting groove of the side you want to play. For maintenance, keep the album in its sleeve when not in use to protect it from dust and scratches. Clean the vinyl periodically with a soft, anti - static brush. Avoid touching the playing surface with your fingers as the oils can affect the sound quality. Also, store the album upright in a cool, dry place to prevent warping.
