Renowned pianist sisters Katia and Marielle Labèque, with over fifty years of musical excellence, present a brand - new album dedicated to Philip Glass' music. This album completes Glass' operatic triptych from 1993 - 1996, inspired by Jean Cocteau's films. After their well - received 2020 recording of Les Enfants Terribles, the Labèque sisters now offer the remaining two works in the Cocteau Trilogy: Orphée and La Belle et la Bête, arranged by Glass’ music director Michael Riesman for them. In 2024, Katia and Marielle Labèque will embark on extensive tours, performing this program in multiple markets such as France, Germany, the UK, and Ireland. The tracklist includes detailed compositions from Orphée (1993), La Belle et la Bête (1994), and Les Enfants Terribles (1996). The package also comes with a booklet featuring quotes by Jean Cocteau, texts by Philip Glass, a conversation with the Labèque sisters, and photos from the Paris Philharmonie performances.

This is a vinyl record album. To use it, simply place the record on a compatible turntable, gently drop the needle onto the start of the groove, and enjoy the music. When handling the record, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints or dirt on the vinyl, which can affect the sound quality. Store the record in a cool, dry place, standing upright in a record sleeve to prevent warping. After each use, return the record to its sleeve carefully. The accompanying booklet is a great addition, so keep it in a safe place to enjoy the quotes, texts, and photos again and again.
