Renowned pianist sisters Katia and Marielle Labèque, with over fifty years of musical excellence, present a brand - new album dedicated to Philip Glass' music. This album completes Glass' operatic triptych from 1993 - 1996, inspired by Jean Cocteau's films. After their well - received 2020 recording of Les Enfants Terribles, the Labèque sisters now offer the remaining two works in the Cocteau Trilogy: Orphée and La Belle et la Bête, arranged by Glass’ music director Michael Riesman for them. In 2024, Katia and Marielle Labèque will embark on extensive tours, performing this program in multiple markets such as France, Germany, the UK, and Ireland.
