Description

Demon Records is excited to present the very first vinyl pressing of The Durutti Column’s 2001 studio album, 'Rebellion'. Formed in Manchester in 1978, this band was among the first signed to the iconic Factory Records by Tony Wilson. Led mainly by guitarist and vocalist Vini Reilly, The Durutti Column has a cult - like following with well - known fans such as Brian Eno and John Frusciante. On 'Rebellion', you'll find a captivating version of the Irish folk classic 'The Fields of Athenry' with a spellbinding vocal by Vick A. Wood, and 'Overlord Part 1' that gives a modern twist to the distinct Durutti Column sound with breakbeats and rapping from Bic. Pressed on 140g blue vinyl and comes in a printed inner sleeve.

To use this vinyl record, first make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable platter and lower the tonearm onto the lead - in groove. Sit back and enjoy the unique sounds of The Durutti Column. When handling the record, always hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches on the playing surface. After each use, carefully place the record back in its printed inner sleeve to protect it. Store the record upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its quality over time.
