Description

In May 2008, Bob Martin started his final studio album in a beach - front condo in Seabrook, New Hampshire. The recordings lay untouched for 13 years. During this time, he wrote novels, took care of his family, taught, and played occasional gigs. The album 'Seabrook' showcases Bob at his wisest and most wistful. It features new songs like 'Three Miles Beneath This Mountain' about West Virginia coal mines and 'Midway Motel' about living in an extended - stay motel. There are also fresh interpretations of late - period classics such as 'My Father Painted Houses'. For the first time, it includes 'Give Me Light', an old unrecorded song, and 'Stay Awhile Sunshine', a family - favorite with Gary Mallaber on vibraphone. With new tech and a new view, the album was finished, but Martin's health had worsened. Bob Martin passed away on September 21, 2022, at 80, never hearing his final work.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, simply place it on a turntable. Make sure the turntable is clean and in good working condition. Start the record at a steady pace and let the music flow. When not in use, store the LP in its protective sleeve to prevent scratches. Avoid exposing it to extreme heat, cold, or moisture as these can damage the vinyl. Handle the record by the edges to keep the playing surface clean. Enjoy the rich and unique sound of Bob Martin's final studio album on this vinyl LP.
