Skylarking is XTC’s most commercially successful album. For years, it's been surrounded by myths, like stories of “lost” multi - track tapes (though that's not true for this album). Despite personality issues with the producer, it became a classic. A masterpiece remains timeless, and this album sounded great then and is even better now. In 2016, Steven Wilson remixed it for new stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound CD/Blu - ray editions, which were a hit with old and new fans. However, this remix was never on vinyl. In recent years, there's been high demand for a vinyl release.
