On April 16th, Italia 90, a London - based 4 - piece band, dropped a new single 'Borderline/Declare' exclusively as a 7" vinyl via Brace Yourself Records. Since 2018, they've released numerous singles and EPs, gathering a cult live following and sharing the stage with bands like Viagra Boys, Cocaine Piss, and The Murder Capital. Esteemed publications such as DIY, The Quietus, and So Young have lauded their work. 'Borderline' is a confident and direct track, full of anger and lyrical charm, with a touch of vulnerability. Hailing from Brighton and now in South London, and regulars at The Windmill in Brixton, their back catalogue delves into serious issues like police brutality and soldier crimes in Northern Ireland. The B - side 'Declare' tackles complicity and inaction during violence or persecution. Despite these heavy political themes, Italia 90 infuses their songs with sardonic humor and playfulness.
