Emerging from the 1980s heavy - metal explosion, Doro Pesch has dedicated four decades to the metal genre. In 2023, she marks 40 years of active service with two special anniversary live shows and a brand - new studio album, Conqueress: Forever Strong & Proud, set to be one of her best works.
Doro's heavy - metal journey started in 1983 with WARLOCK's debut album, Burning The Witches. Even as a teen, her powerful voice and charisma made her a standout metal frontwoman. Her big break came in 1986 at the Monsters Of Rock festival, where she became the first woman on stage and solidified her iconic status.
In the '90s, when grunge dominated and traditional metal faced a slump, Doro adapted. She released albums that blended new heavy - music styles while keeping her signature power and passion. From the album produced by Gene Simmons to soulful records like True At Heart, she gracefully weathered the storm.
When heavy metal made a comeback in the 21st century, Doro was ready. With albums like Calling The Wild, Fight, and Fear No Evil, she's thrilled fans worldwide. In 2022, she received numerous awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, and was inducted into the Hall Of Heavy Metal History.
In 2018, Doro released the epic Forever Warriors, Forever United. Five years later, Conqueress continues her high - standard music. It's a mix of melodic metal and high - octane hard rock.
