Released on July 10, 1964, the Beatles' third album in under eighteen months was perfectly timed to match the cinema release of their first movie. Seven out of the album's 13 tracks were in the film's soundtrack. A single, 'Can't Buy Me Love'/'You Can't Do That', came out on March 20 before the album. It's really amazing that on this Beatles album, all the titles were written by John and Paul. The album hit No. 1 in the UK charts by the end of July and stayed at the top for 21 out of the 38 weeks it was in the Top Twenty.
