Amazing Bud Powell, Vol. 1, 1949–51 (Classic Vinyl Series): Vinyl LP

The extraordinary bebop piano virtuoso Bud Powell created his most memorable recordings as a leader for Blue Note. In 1955, his 1949 and 1951 quintet and trio sessions were gathered on the 12” LP The Amazing Bud Powell, Vol. 1 (BLP 1503). This LP features the talented pianist alongside greats like Sonny Rollins, Fats Navarro, Roy Haynes, and Max Roach, performing bebop classics such as ‘Un Poco Loco’ and ‘Bouncing with Bud’. This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is in mono, all - analog. It's been expertly mastered by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal. The tracklist offers a great mix of bebop hits. Side A includes various takes of ‘Un Poco Loco’, ‘Dance Of The Infidels’, and more. Side B features different versions of ‘A Night In Tunisia’, ‘Wail’, and other wonderful tunes.

To use this vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable platter. Lower the tonearm carefully onto the start of the groove for the side you want to play. Sit back and enjoy the amazing bebop music. When handling the record, always hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the grooves, which can affect the sound quality. After each use, put the record back in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store the LP vertically in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. If the record gets dirty, you can use a vinyl record cleaning brush to gently remove dust from the grooves.
