Archangel Hill: Limited Green Grass Vinyl LP

Shirley Collins, a key voice in British folk music, is back with Archangel Hill, her third album for Domino. Set for release on May 26th, it presents a superb collection of songs hand - picked by Collins. Some are from traditional sources, while others are from her favorite writers. Produced by Ian Kearey, Shirley Collins’ musical director, the arrangements involve Collins, Kearey, Pip Barnes, and players from The Lodestar Band like Dave Arthur and Pete Cooper. All songs on Archangel Hill were recorded last year, except “Hand And Heart”. It's taken from a 1980 live performance at the Sydney Opera House and features an arrangement by Shirley’s sister Dolly Collins.
