Archangel Hill: Vinyl LP

Shirley Collins, a key figure in British folk music, is back with Archangel Hill, her third album for Domino, set to release on May 26th. This album features an outstanding collection of songs hand - picked by Collins. Some are from traditional sources, while others are from her favorite writers. Produced by Ian Kearey, Shirley's musical director, the arrangements involve Collins, Kearey, Pip Barnes, and players from The Lodestar Band, Dave Arthur and Pete Cooper. All songs on Archangel Hill were recorded last year, except “Hand And Heart”. This track is from a 1980 live performance at the Sydney Opera House and has an arrangement by Shirley's talented sister, Dolly Collins.
