'Bad Time' is the latest EP from Peeping Drexels, a London-based five-piece band that has been together since they were sixteen. They've released singles on Permanent Creeps and Fierce Panda labels, and this is their debut on BY Records. They've received support from Steve Lamacq, DIY, So Young, and have performed live with Shame, Goat Girl, and Public Practice. The first single, 'High Heels', explores white pills and night thrills, building up to a crescendo of guttural angst. It's like a dimly lit journey through a twisted underground club under an unknown influence. This song marks Peeping Drexels' rebirth with experimental sounds, broader instrumentation, and pure pop essence. It's a never - ending loop of bad - trip excess. Before the lockdown, they had a sold - out headline show at London’s Bermondsey Social Club and a sold - out main support slot for Fat White Family at EartH. The project draws inspiration from a wide musical range, from Gary Numan and Mr. Fingers' dance vibes to Tyler The Creator's synth - heavy 'Cherry Bomb' and Kanye West's maximalist work. The songs cover various themes like drug addiction after leaving home ('Pit'), toxic lust ('Bloody Gums'), finding happiness in escapism ('Miami Lounge'), and hardcore hedonism ('High Heels').
