Description
London - based post - punk group GHUM is thrilled to announce their debut album, Bitter, releasing on June 17th via Everything Sucks. Alongside the announcement, they've dropped a new track, ‘Some People’. This three - minute grunge gem is raw and blistering, accompanied by a tongue - in - cheek visual by Lydia Garnett. Vocalist Laura Guerrero Lora says the song is about the fear of hurting someone new in love, after a long loveless spell. The video, inspired by 90’s pop, John Waters movies, and Spice Girls docs, is fun, campy, and queer - friendly. GHUM, made up of Laura (vocals), Jojo Khor (guitar), Vicki Ann (drums), and Marina MJ (bass), met online in 2016. With members from different corners of the world, they bonded over bands like Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Cure. Since their first EP in 2017, they've toured the UK and Europe, earning support from major tastemakers and BBC Radio 6 Music. Bitter, crafted from old half - written songs and new sketches, is a raw slice of melancholic grunge rock, with Vicki's drums and Laura's heartfelt vocals at the forefront. The band is eager to share these songs that truly capture their unique style.
If you're getting the Bitter signed pink vinyl LP, here's how to enjoy it. First, handle the vinyl gently. When playing, place it on a turntable carefully. Make sure the needle is properly aligned before starting the playback. This will help you get the best sound quality. As for storage, keep the vinyl in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, as this can warp the vinyl. Also, always use the dust cover to protect it from dust and scratches. After each use, return the vinyl to its sleeve neatly. This way, you can keep your signed pink vinyl LP in great condition and enjoy the melancholic grunge rock of GHUM for years to come.
