Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy is Elton John's ninth studio album. It's an autobiographical tale of the early musical journeys of Elton John and Bernie Taupin. In 2016, it was expertly remastered from the original analogue tapes by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering in Portland, Maine, and the vinyl was cut by Sean Magee at Abbey Road. The album comes in a gatefold sleeve and includes a facsimile of the original lyrics booklet. Side 1 features tracks like 'Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy', 'Tower Of Babel', 'Bitter Fingers', 'Tell Me When The Whistle Blows', and 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight'. Side 2 has '(Gotta Get A) Meal Ticket', 'Better Off Dead', 'Writing', 'We All Fall In Love Sometimes', and 'Curtains'.
