Clint Mansell crafted an amazing synth score for Ben Wheatley's In The Earth. Pressed on 180g black vinyl, it comes in a deluxe spined sleeve with a double - sided printed insert and a download card. Mansell used a PlantWave MIDI sprout machine to capture the sound of singing plants, fitting the film's vegetal themes. Clint describes it as 'big, ominous, sometimes beautiful, often eerie, and unsettling at times', similar to Blade Runner or Annihilation. In The Earth, made by Ben Wheatley during lockdown, was a hot - topic at the Sundance Film Festival. It follows a scientist and a park scout who venture into the woods as the world seeks a virus cure. As night falls, the forest comes alive, turning their journey into a terrifying one through the heart of darkness.
