Dana Margolin says the songs on Clouds In The Sky - Always There For You (2024) began as poems, a self - challenge. In a song, one can hide behind music tricks, but in a poem, it's just words. Recorded in early 2024 in the Somerset countryside by Dom Monks, this is Porridge Radio's new album and first new music in two years. The UK band's album is a coming - of - age story inspired by burnout, the music industry, a broken relationship, and Dana's deeper artistic immersion. Dana says much of the album is about a frenetic and desperate love, losing self in a relationship and the lingering insecurity. Songs like In A Dream I’m A Painting took on new meanings. The recording in Frome in early 2024 was an intimate experience with some emotional breakdowns. The band had a close - knit environment with communal meals. The studio was bright, a relief for musicians. Today, Dana sees it as a creative breakthrough, capturing friendship and their playing style.
