For Peggy Gou, recording a part of !K7’s DJ-Kicks series was a career goal. She calls it the top - tier of DJ mixes, as some of her favorite selectors have contributed. In 2019, she achieved this by presenting the 69th edition. To start 2025, the 40th anniversary year of !K7, it's re - issued on a tigerfur - colored 2LP. Peggy began working on the mix in 2018, a busy time when she got her first Mixmag cover and her single 'It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)' won awards. Despite DJing in 20 nightclubs worldwide each month, her goal for the mix was to show her musical journey, not just capture her DJ set energy. This 18 - track mix takes you to Peggy Gou’s living room, playing tunes from 1983 across disco, house, techno, and electro, with a tempo range of 90 - 150 BPM. The cover art is eye - catching. As a Korean woman in the DJ - Kicks series, Gou referenced Korean iconography with a tiger, an important symbol in Korean traditions. Due to animal welfare, a library image was used.
