After their Candlelight Records debut 'Black Blood', the masked chaos - bringers and Black Metal pioneers Abduction are back with their brand - new album 'Existentialismus' on February 21st, 2025. This record is arguably the band's most thrilling, emotionally rich, and personal work to date. It's inspired by the contrast between the post - truth era and the simple truths of ancient religions and the fading past, as well as observations of the modern world. From 2017 to 2019, the band had a highly productive recording period, releasing a trilogy of albums. Then, in 2022, 'Black Blood', their first album for the respected Candlelight Records, was a major milestone. Abduction is one of the UK's most prominent black metal acts on the live scene, performing their ritualistic and immersive shows at many festivals. 'Existentialismus' is the first recording as a full band. The grand scale is evident, reflecting the ambition and bitter grandeur of the new material, a well - blended mix of otherworldly atmospheres, fiery aggression, and apocalyptic tension. The album, written by A|V, was recorded by Ian Boult and mastered by Tore Stjerna (Watain, Mayhem).
