Bartees Strange is set to unleash his third full - length album, Horror, on 14 February 2025. This follow - up to 2022’s Farm To Table is his most ambitious project yet. Raised on fear, Strange's family used scary stories to impart life lessons. As a young, queer, black person in rural America, he faced visceral terror. Horror is all about confronting these fears and evolving into a force to be reckoned with. Throughout the album, Strange reveals one hard truth after another over a unique blend of the music he loved as a kid. Influences from Parliament Funkadelic, Fleetwood Mac, and others merged with his love for hip - hop, country, and more, resulting in a truly original record. Strange started working on Horror in his home studio with a focus on production. Sessions with Yves and Lawrence Rothman gave a rhythmic and sonic base.
