24-year-old Victor Ray, born in Uganda, raised in Newcastle and now living in London, started his musical journey through busking. This tough yet character - building experience taught him patience and showmanship, enabling him to win over even the coldest crowds. Musically, Victor blends the singer - songwriter tradition of Newcastle with R&B, pop, and a touch of hip - hop. His musical influences are diverse, including music from Kenya and Uganda, Donnie Hathaway, J. Cole, and Usher, who partly inspired his stage name. 'I AM.' is a compilation of Victor's first 4 EPs on a physical vinyl. Side A features tracks like 'Hollow' and 'Like the Moon', while Side B includes 'Comfortable' and 'Halfway There'.
